Trading server PP

Hey liquidating my 50 blue druid and would like to transfer the plat. I am guessing it is legal by server rules since I see posts and ooc about it, is this true? How can one be sure they are not ripped off, would GMs be willing to help if someone cheats? I got about 9k blue that I will never need but still don't want someone to get free plat.

it's pretty risky and gm's do not assist.
