 | Quest commands not working? Hi, I'm new to Everquest and the game seems to be working okay, but I have problems getting quests. For example there's a quest NPC and it gives the [help to bake] command, but I say and /say help to bake, help bake, bake, /say [help to bake] I want to help you bake I want to help etc. etc. and it's all not working It just does nothing. What am I doing wrong? | ||

 | Every quest? Or just this particular one, if so what is the NPC's name and what quest are you trying to get? | ||

 | That's part of the ahem-*charm....* of old school EQ. Some common mistakes are: misspellings incorrect plurality missing spaces punctuation Sometimes ''I will deliver the fishsticks'' doesn't work where ''I will deliver fishsticks'' does. 'The' seems to make it not work. If all else fails, I take the easy way out and see if i can find the quest on the old Allakhazam site. This site isn't updated anymore, but thats OK. look for the Bestiary by zone (alla) link under the drop-down resources bar on the right. Then search for the zone and NPC you're talking to. there should be some info there. good luck! | ||

 | One shortcut I fondly remember was to use "what" before the {help to bake} ...while it makes little sense, it does get a response from the NPCs. | ||

 | Hey everyone, I eventually figured it out, wording the [brackets] as a sentence helps, like "How can I help fight the orcs?" it just took some getting used to, thanks guys | ||
