Time to find a quiet room in one of the inns. You can't drop cash, either, so buy gems/gold bars.

Or find someone to trust.

Buy gold, the banking system is poised to collapse.

Was curious as to what I could buy to solve the cash problem. Gave my new toon a full grip of Large Sewing Kits, but wasn't sure how to xfer cash without taking a 50% or larger hit.

Just make sure that the merchant you're selling them back to is amiable, to reduce the loss. It's not much, I think it was 1% loss. Gold bar cost around 10pp, electrum 2.5pp and silver are 0.5pp. I think platinum are around 100p, but can't remember. Peridots are around 10pp too.

They're also handy for my monk - a bar weighs 0.3 per stack, whereas it weighs 1.0 for 40 coins.

But my friends are charging 18% for the luxury of having them as a friend. How the heck am I going to afford their surcharges on money laundering? And grouping... they're charging upwards of 40% before the split just for that chance.
