How is a leaderboard good for class balance discussion when you get no credit for playing a support or CC class.

not everyone can play a wizard or whatever - that's the nature of the game

Who cares. Bad data = useless and misinformed statistics.

Delete it and replace with dragons slain tally.

Should be deleted with a warning "since staff isn't providing stats of any value, and logging isn't capable of doing so, there is no more leaderboard".

Because users simply can't, and staff can't / won't / is lazy / is corrupt.

Have your pick.

I'm not talking about gauging a players skill level. But if we saw some necro's raise on leaderboards, or melee's drop off, or wizards and druids drop off we'd have a better look at balance then currently.

I don't pay much over-all attention to the boards, but on live there was always a few player's who made hard to play classes work. If we saw that here we'd know it's at least possible with the high skill cap classes.

Most player's who dominated boards on live were player's exploiting a broken pvp mechanic or using a 3rd party program, or both as was the case with Kirban on sullon. I expect the same thing here.

The data is going to be skewed beyond usability. If necros rise up it will be just as much if not more due to people actually playing them post changes. Plus it just tracks killshots anyway not who is doing better in PVP, and necros are still dealing with the DoT not counting for YT shit.

I am used to gating in-zone and having random-leet PK just beeline to me.

Happened just last weekend, guy named Falkor nukes me, I gate, he finds my bind & finishes it while I'm chatting.

Dat wiz track.
