Default New Bard-like question

I remember when i played years ago most bards i played with were Human. Being a human meant that you had increased experience but were near blind at night.

Has any of that changed?

Humans are naturally blind but they don't get any experience buffs (being all generic and all), but playing a bard does incur an 40% XP penalty. (who cares as long as you have fun, my main is a Paladin with the same penality)

no XP bonus.. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

There is some really good reading on that page if you're looking for more info. You probably won't go terribly wrong with any of the 3 choices.
FYI, experience is never an issue with Bards. Every now and then you can group up to hone your melee skills and practice your CC / panic twisting but your levels will come from AE kiting.

Here are some pages on AE Kiting:

And here is a page on where to level
http://wiki.project1999.com/Deajay%2...Location_Guide

This will be frustrating, but definitely doable until about 18... from then on out it gets much easier since your AE will have a bit more range. Once you're 18, you can go to OT and level in 3-4 pulls (2-3 pulls if you have the area all to yourself and you're comfortable doing 25+ mobs). At ~23 you can go to lake and do the same leveling until ~30. At 30 it really picks up; you can go back to OT and pull 50 mobs and level in 1 pull.
Here's the warning though, only attempt to pull everything if others are not also camping the area. It is against the rules to monopolize an entire pull area.
With that said; I find it easiest to just ask around to see if anyone minds you pulling. Many times people can only handle a few mobs so they don't mind if you pull all but a few [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

There is no Melody on here and will probably never will be. So if you are good at twisting go for it, but I am not worth a damn at it. Can't walk and chew gun at the same time.

I don't think I am alone either. A lot of Bards on here pretty much suck in a group. One song wonders that are afk half the time. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
