Default Inherited an account

Hello there!
So my friend played this game on and off for a few months and now he fully went to WOW. I played back in the day....way back on live during kunark. Anyways he threw me his account with a 49 lvl bard with some crappy gear. Now for the reason of this post. Should I use bard to get gear for toon I want or just put forth that time into lvling up a toon I want to play?

How is the economy? Easy to buy sell trade?

Typically played a Necro or cleric. Enjoyed necro more for the most part but guild always needed a good cleric.
Had a shammy too but he was typically the Pvp toon

Anyone want to throw some advice before I start on Monday

If your friend would be offended at you selling his gear I'd start from scratch if you don't want to play his bard.

Necros (as you probably know) don't need much for gear when it comes to leveling, you can do it naked almost...maybe something to try [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I'd use the bard's money to buy some HP rings and other newb gear, taking anything you need from the bard. Start leveling and then if there's something specific you need use bard to camp it.

There is a global chat channel so you will be able to trade more easily, but there isn't a trading hub like there is on blue.

Could sell power lvls with the bard and make some good cash, then roll whatever you want. If you sold power lvls for a week or 2, it would save more time in the long run.

Thanks great advice. Never played on blue or a blue server so don't know about trade hubs; kind of takes the risk out trading....sounds boring.
@Sheriff I am 100% positive most of the major guilds have a lethal amount account sharing. One newbi using a half naked Bard is probably not going to upset balance anywhere.
