Also not classic, so not happening, period.

edit: Just want to say, not being mean to OP. But there is literally no point to thinking up suggestions for ways to improve the game on p1999 unless you are talking about bringing back something from the classic era that is currently missing.

Its a hard trap to get out of when you start playing again, I know I found myself thinking "I wish that they would... X". You just gotta clamp down on that. This game is about experiencing the way EverQuest was. There is no development pathway away from how it was played in the Kunark / Velious era.

Nilbog (I think it was him I was reading) has some very vague plans for kind of Project 1999 Next (swidt?) with the current server as a museum once Velious is finished. Its possible that some improvements and non-classic enhancements will be made then as the game will diverge and develop beyond the Velious era.

That rule itself is fine. The problem with that rule is that it's virtually impossible to enforce. The person waiting has no way of knowing what dropped. All they have to go off is the word of some random guy camping that item. If the random guy camping the item claims the item did not drop and the person waiting does not believe them, the person waiting has 2 options; either leave, or wait around until the item drops next time to see if the random guy camping corpses it. In the case of Tranix, the random guy camping the item has forever to corpse the the crown and wait for whoever wants to take the camp to leave.

monopolies run by the same people (Blitzkragg and King Tranix was his example).

Now I do not know anything in regards to Blitzkragg or the other 'privately' controlled camps

those pictures lol...

Like I said, I have not experienced it first hand, just thought about it and came up with something on the fly. Maybe not for p1999 but maybe an idea for the future or something.

Appreciate the responses.
