Default Are city gate guards immune to magic?

Hello everyone

Was poking around casts realm archive trying to find info on magician pet taking xp 8)

when i cam across this.

http://eq.castersrealm.com/viewarticle.asp?Article=1473

Got me thinking are the guards on city gate immune to magic ?

are the guards in city on normal 20min timers ?

these changes should be in our time line.

Fooof for thought

Entrance guards are immune to magic. Freeport ones damn sure are.

"City" guards I think is a bit broad. Several classic guides mention killing guards in the city for faction. Not those at the entrance which noobs would run to for protection though, those were the ones buffed with magic immunity.

I agree not all city guards need to have these immunities. I to was guilty of hunting city guards in my classic expierence.

Just the city gate guards.

I have not hunted guards in cities here so was curious about their timers. most stuff on our server is 6 min timers wondering if these city guards are on same timer or 20min timer which i believe was normal for most dungeons.

http://www.tski.co.jp/baldio/patch/20000512.html <-- original patch notes from Ruins of Kunark. This should solve this issue. Also there was an adjustment made shortly thereafter covered in these patch notes --> http://www.tski.co.jp/baldio/patch/20000516.html
