Default Bard Swarm Kite 22-30ish

Looking for a spot to swarm in this level range. SK is a bust, somewhere along the line they changed the runspeed of the centaurs in the zone. The only way you can swarm these now is by swapping in your drum with selos, then swapping back to horn every time you wanna DOT which gets extremely tedious and annoying. Thanks in advance.

I ended up trading for PLs with someone to get through this level range. If that's not an option:

South Karana... Do the aviaks, and splitpaw gnolls.

This sucks for a few reasons. Egrets run faster than the rest of the mobs, but are the lowest level. So you can kill them quickly then kill your real train. Also it sucks cause the highest level aviaks completely resist all your DoTs until you're mid 20s+, so you have to zone them off once you kill your train. Also Aviaks and splitpaw gnolls are usually camped.

Lake of Ill Omen... Do goblins, sarnaks and skeletons. Be wary of roaming Iksar guards and don't get casters. Casters can blind or root you which is bad news. Terrible ZEM here too.

Really you're likely better off grouping through those levels. But I think SK and LoIO are the only reasonable options. 22-25 you may be able to do in overthere off the low side mobs but they would be greening out.

I just finished 22-29 on my bard..29-30 im struggling on pirates in FV..backstab hurts..

Anyway..

LOIO is far and away the best place for this imo, pulling the skels and iksar pariah, exile etc..between the fort and the windmill.

DO not touch goblins or sarnaks..you will snag casters through proximity..

There is a nice little canyon with an obelisk of stones in the middle just to the NE of the windmill you can kite around that works great. I will be on later tonight if you want me to show you the place..

Alright, looks like I will get a group and max my melee skills out then and probably head to LOIO. I was looking forward to SK because I remember doing pretty much all the centaurs besides the named and chargers. Looks like a little modification happened in the past 6 months or so though most likely due to people complaining of bards monopolizing the zone. Thanks for the ideas.

I went out to SK to give 29 a try and between the gnoll spires and KFC, the kiting is really good there..a lot of the mobs are blue so you could probably start there much earlier..

You probably did it before the changes to South Karana.

Now Egrest and Centaurs run faster than all other aviaks and splitpaw gnolls.

You technically..did not swarm kite..but that is splitting hairs..even without the chargers, just pulling the spires and kfc was good for me.. did 1 kite last night before bed. So SK is def an option, and the bronze and fine steel sells MUCH better than the kunark crap in loio

You're correct, that's why the guide is PBAOE kiting. I normally nit-pick the distinction too, so thanks for catching it.

Kind of a pet peeve [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] I played a bard in live when you could swam kite and could not PBAoE kite. BTW Deajay thanks for making the guide..it is awesome!
