dual screen issues

Sometimes when I start the game running with my 2 monitors (like i always do) i get the everquest click icon and only blackness until i unplug my second screen. Other times it works perfectly, it seems to be random, has anyone experienced this issue and can help me with a fix?

I always have to play in Windowed mode with dual monitors.

Someone is going to tell you to try using Wineq2. Its a program that for some lets EQ run better in windowed mode.

No its called playing EQ on 1 screen while surfing net, watching movies, watching porn on the other without having to tab out [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I have this same issue - the solution is to hit alt+enter when you encounter this black screen on startup. For some reason it appears with two monitors (at least in my situation) I cannot see the first screen when in full screen mode and only encounter the black screen you describe. Alt+enter switches between full screen mode and windowed mode. For me the reason it only happens sometimes like you described is because I sometimes log out in either mode. I have found no other solution but it is a simple fix, I hope this is a solution for you too. Happy hunting.
