They do, but since the people are in MM, that's where groups/replacements are found. By the time you move a group to some other dungeon you're likely to lose members, and it's a lot harder finding replacements when everyone is in MM.

It's also got convenient banking for neutral/good characters, unlike places like CT or Guk.
^^ This.

I had my shaman in SolA for a week waiting for people to show up. Nobody but lvl 35+ in there farming everyday. Each time I would log in and do a /whoall 25 30 almost everyone on that list would be in MM. The rest are sitting in EC with maybe 1 or 2 in HPH. I held out for a week because the zem in Sol A kicks the crap out of MM, but when there's nobody there to get any exp period, you go where the herd has gone.

I guess that's one of the fallbacks to playing a game this old. Nobody needs to explore anymore because they've seen it all and have their favorite xp spots.

Sol A is definitely the best xp in the mid 20s-30s. Was there with my cleric. Some days it's busy, other days it's completely empty. High Keep is excellent as well, but it's limited to 1 group so there is usually a waiting list.

Yeah 38 is high. CE is the only camp worth doing at that level and most people leave MM by late 30s, 40 at the latest.

As a cleric, I was usually the lowest level so I was getting the least amount of XP in my groups.

yea you have to get a group of people you know together to try the weird places... but iirc in classic that's what I did too.. I did most weird camps with my best online friends, and did most random group age in the main ones, like MM.

its one thing to spend 45 minuets waiting next to a group for a spot in a group you've confirmed will be there for the next 4 hours... compared to running for 20 minuets to meet someone you're going to pay 20pp to port you to so you can run another 20 minuets to get to a zone that may or may not have people in it (most likely wont) and when it does the group breaks up and now you just are shit outa luck.. especially as a melee with no gate!

I blame the remote nature of most kunark zones for thier lack of randoms grouping with eachother.

fact is, you can wait in sola for a group.... you do in perma and pre seb kunark - goooood luck.

Wow, this board would be total trash if everybody made a new forum thread for every instance 'They couldn't find a group'.

Seriously, think about it.

Classic Swish move...

as opposed to just throwing out hate on a random thread. I would surely rather have that. not.

skipdog never started a thread outside of the EC forum - that self entitled "entertain me" attitude hits the boards again [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I remember my first step into MM 15 years go, I was 24 and just exploring random zones, found the broken druid rings and then zoned into a sick ass castle with dark elves everywhere and people running around fighting each other, /ooc spamming, corpses all over the place - I had one of those, fuckn' eq dose it does it again moments. Doesn't hold my hand, doesn't tell me where to go, gives me no tips & tricks and yet once again, here I am perfect level in a perfect zone.

god bless eq.

god bless MM.

Why would a badass SK need the help of a group? He is a knight of darkness, a paragon of his ruthless faith; He raises the dead to do his bidding, he does not resort to working with unworthys!
