I don't get it. The guy is strapped under one boat, inside of another? What's the purpose of the boat that's on top? The one on bottom is catching all his poopies and filling up with poop bugs, as well as holding him, but what's the one on top filling up with? This makes no sense to me

You can't really treat Varg Vikernes racism the same way you treat American racism. It's different over there. I mean, yeah, they're still racist, but there's this weird thing about Scandinavian racism where it's like a purely economical kind of racism. At least, my experience with Swedish racism was that way- they still have a Nazis party, though it's not really called that anymore, but their whole thing isn't like "our genes are better" "our race is superior," it's more like "these other people who are different are SAPPING our resources/are INVADERS." It's more xenophobic than racist. Which doesn't make THAT much of a difference, but does make A difference when you consider that the guy everyone's jumping on in the thread, I don't know his name, I just call him Varg, but anyway Varg's point seems to me to be that there's genetic differences between the races that don't necessarily equate to better/worse. It's genotypes vs. phenotypes.

It seems to me that he's really taking more of a Malthusian stance here than anything- that if a group, a race, a geographical tribe, whatever, doesn't fit within an evolutionary schema and is wiped out or reduced if they don't adapt or move, that that's not racism, it's nature.


I don't agree with it with regards to the human race in the 21st century, but I think that's his point, and I don't think it's inherently racist. I also think it doesn't apply to Africa because as someone else pointed out, the factors over there are things like warlords, educational clusterfucks, and civil wars, not natural camouflage or the ability to hunt a certain prominent species found within the area.

I had a friend who went to Tanzania for a few months doing some missionary shit or something. He told me this story: It was mango season and there were like, thousands of mangoes falling out of trees all over the ground. He collected a shitload of them and had them in his house. This African dude stopped him on the street one day and was like "hey man, can you give me some money for food? I'm starving." My friend told him he didn't have any money on him, but if the guy would give him 10 minutes he'd go home and get him a bunch of mangoes. The guy got pissed off, said "I don't need any fucking mangoes, I've got a whole goddamn wheelbarrow full of them, I need FOOD." Turns out what's going on here is that "lack of food" isn't the problem over there- the problem is people aren't educated and don't understand nutrition for shit. They think "food" is this like, nutritionless corn paste that's just empty fiber. They don't realize these mangoes that are literally covering the ground are more "food" than the corn paste.


My friend also was on anti malarial meds, as you need to be when you go to Africa, but he couldn't drink when he was on them, so he stopped taking them. Given a choice between sobriety and malaria, he chose malaria. Then he got malaria, or became a carrier or some weird shit.
