Default Cannot find eqgame.exe

very strange! this morning i tried to start eq but i already had it open from last night and my virus protection poped up and said it deleted eqgame.exe ok thats not so weird but even after uninstalling and reinstalling 2 times it is still coming up as the same cannot find eqgame.exe im sure im missing something simple here could anyone kindly help me out as im really missing out on some solid play time haha its my only day off.

Avast is blocking eqgame.exe, I had this same problem. You can add EQgame.exe to the exceptions on avast or just uninstall avast (which is what i did)

i actually tried that first, for some reason it wouldnt let me add it to the exeptions. so i uninstalled avg but still having the same problem....??

Do you have avast and avg ? As far as i know the problem is coming from Avast

i dont have avg im just a little sleepy still haha i mean avast i uninstalled it completley and its still messed up.

although when i look in the eq folder eqgame.exe is definitely in there

After uninstalling avast, you need to reinstall EQ. Or find another way to get eqgame.exe back into your directory (I did this by having a backup on a portable hard drive)

Try making another shortcut of EQgame.exe and make sure it has the "patch me" added in.

i already did reinstall 2 times after i uninstalled avast but im going to make sure avast is 100% gone and try again thanks [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
