I played red, got killed and stalked by a twinked lvl 4-5 that called me a faggot 3 times. Oh he also stole my 40 silver so now I can't buy my lvl 1 spells. Quit and uninstalled.

Kinda hard to not flame when every single day there is a new red thread in blue forums, we get it, your server sucks ass and would die without the exp bonus. I don't play red. If any of the posts that are clearly red themed annoy you to this extent, do not click on them. You can't get mad at someone else for willfully reading material that you claim you do not want. Don't read them. Move along. Go to RnF and make a big thread about how much you hate it.

This has gotten to a breaking point, so I'm putting out a final warning to all involved.

1) Cross server recruitment threads are not going anywhere. If Blue/Red community members want to promote their respective servers on these boards, they may do so. This does not mean you need to spam the forums with 100 threads. I haven't really seen that happening (until today, when a handful of people decided a 15 year old elf-sim forum was a great place for satire).

2) If you're going to post a cross-server promotion thread, keep it clean. Do not attack either server or it's respective players. We are all here to play Everquest. Each server provides it's own special flavor and helps different people achieve what they'd like to achieve on this Project. There is no "right" way to enjoy Project 1999. Let's be mindful of that moving forward.

3) There will be no more antagonizing members of another server by posting negative comments in their respective promotion threads. Too often I've seen:

OP: Come play here! It's great!
Poster1: harhar your server is terrible
Poster2 (defending OP): at least we <insert whatever here>
Poster1: See harhar that proves it, terrible

If I see anyone doing this outside of an RnF thread, your forum account will be banned. If you don't have something nice to say, take it to RnF. If you don't think people should play on <insert server here>, take it to RnF. If you had a bad experience on serverX 10 months ago and want to let everyone know that's the way it still is, take it to RnF.

We're going to keep this clean and civil from here on out. I have no problem removing people from both sides for violating these simple, easy to follow rules. Don't test me on this, because I <3 you and will absolutely remove you from these forums if I have to.

Lastly, thanks to everyone who cares about the Project enough to respect it's staff and it's servers. Special thanks to everyone out there who couldn't care less about all of this, and/or don't even know what I'm talking about. I love you most of all.

Posting itself is fine.

The negative dribble that flows out as the thread goes, is indicative of the perception of what RED was or is... the gutter. I played there, quite some time ago, would not return, regardless of changes.

But to each his own, I do feel to impose on the blue forums and say don't read the red threads is well... rude. Way to many flames have been started, to many assholes exposed.

I would prefer to see advertising on blue in threads that are solely posted by GM's and Mods, and locked. I would have no issue with that. Advertise away, as long as it is staff.

GMs aren't likely to post interesting videos or screenshots from recent happenings on red. It's a good recruiting tool and a nice PSA of what's happening over there [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

The only drawback to the current setup is some of the blue community are intent on flaming and then blaming their anger on it being in the wrong forum and getting mad despite being told not to vent/troll.

I am sure Derubel would be glad to post them, perhaps even a tag in the post subject, red stuff. I know they have worked hard on promoting red, kudos to any eq increawse, but the folks that post from red don't help the cause, have you read what they post?
