Except Live now is completely a different animal than it was during Kunark. CS and policies have changed quite a bit from the days when Verant ran the franchise.

Isn't shit instanced on live now? Wouldn't it be pretty much impossible for some random to come and ninja loot a guild's drop?

Some group content is still FFA. There is instanced group and raid content.

Never mind

At any rate, yeah, EQ different now. I highly doubt the developers were like "you know what's a dynamic we really want to have more of in this game? Ninja looting."

Because I play primarily on Live now. 2 years of Kunark is too much. The post you're referencing is from last year.

It's not even the same game any more. Not even close.

There have been a lot of changes, but one thing that's never changed is loot being free to the public once private looting rights expire. The concept that something is considered "ninja looting" if someone outside of a group ever loots something is not classic and a custom rule only on this server.

Thats complete garbage. Tell the truth, you're just trolling now. I still play on live and you do not go up to a groups corpses and start looting them all at their feet in front of them
