It does reduce your size and magnify your sight. The size reduction gradually wears off though instead of wearing off when the spell fades. The magnification goes away when someone cast's another mana regen spell on you, like any from the clarity line.... you get the message like 'you return to your normal perspective'... but your mask of the hunter buff remains intact.

I have never had my sight magnification knocked off by C3... Usually I know that Mask as worn off because my view pops back to normal :P
All of these seem to indicate its a shrink not a grow. "Reduced size" and all. And the magnification thing persists through zoning the dude who claims KEI removes it was disproved by the following post.

All of these come from this archived Druids Grove thread:

on a side note, on P99 ( no idea what happened on Mac/Classic )

when Mask of the Hunter wears off or is clicked off, your character shrinks smaller than normal size as if a shaman has cast shrink on you.

No idea if that is normally behavior, and you can return to normal size by a few methods ( I use my DE guise ) but when Mask wears off it would shrink you beyond what your normal size was before Mask was even applied.

Any comments whether that aspect of Mask is working as intended or the classicness of it?

Points to it being a shrink not a grow.

It really is a shame you can only open up a quarter of the threads on the 1999-2001 Druid Forum. There are plenty of threads titled Mask of Hunter but none mention the shrink component and zoning. The posts I've found just say the buff, mana regen and magnification persist when zoning even indoors.

hmm well we currently grow when we cast it on ourselves here, when we zone ( before yesterday) our size would normalize and then whether it wore off or was clicked off you shrank smaller than normal size.

So what Dald has posted was the growing on p99 is not classic and we should be seeing smaller druids all the time rather than bigger?

I show them as a grow based on whats in spell file. Thats the effect making it drop when you zone. I dont know why it wasnt dropping before.

Should it be that way? I dunno.

There are quite a few mentions that Mask will persist inside. The buff atleast.

It is debatable whether the player size mod went with you. I'd lean towards no though.

Buff, Mana Regen, See Invis and Magnification certainly should stick with you between zones.
