Sad to see it go. Hopefully the decision is reversed.

No because it'd scare new players away if they saw in notes XP being reduced.
This is actually true. Not sure how increased XP hurts the server, but I would surmise that any new player starting here would want the bonus of increased XP.

I thought the EXP was slower.

That's a good thing. Prob with Live is how long does it take to lvl up? No time.

Slow EXP = Original
Love Hurts. So many people like to B & C about things not Original. Who's B & Cing now?

Slow exp good for PVP, cause you end up with large tiers of lvls. instead of everyone on a few tiers.

I think it is a big risk to ask such a huge time investment from new players just to catch up and play with 95% of the population.

What I would do is actually announce a 1 week bonus exp period after which all exp nerfs go into place. That would attract some players to form these groups required to get the group bonus.

XP bonus is like Abacab going around his garage box giving out epics, fun, but ruins the experience.

That's not really the way it works here though. It's pretty much 0 PVP outside of getting griefed by supertwinks, then you hit 52 and get your shit pushed in all over the place. At that same time your exp rate is cut in half and the increased modifier each level turns every level into a classic EQ hell level, including two "double hell" levels at 54 and 59.

It basically is like this:

Level fast as hell (too fast probably) then slam the breaks on just as you enter the general (bloodthirsty) population. I'd be willing to bet that more people quit after hitting 52 then any other level.
