Outlander series - Coming soon to Starz

Excellent news for fans of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. I've been waiting and hoping for years this would end up becoming a movie or at least a tv show.

Who doesn't love a good series about time travel? Not to mention all the other things that happen. I'd definitely recommend reading the books before the series comes out this summer on Starz. It's good stuff. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

What's the storyline like? Is it just during that one time period or does she bounce around time?

I tend to like time travel shows like Continuum.

I was writing out a reply but lost my post when my browser crashed. Lol. Sooo... instead of writing it all over again I hope you don't mind if I just link you the book info/customer reviews. It explains it better than I could. Don't be put off by this series being called "historical romance" because it isn't. Yes there is a love story at the center of it all but this series has so much more going on.

To answer your question about the time travel... yes, there is some back and forth travel throughout the whole series (once she figures out how it's done) but it becomes more and more dangerous each time she goes.

If you end up giving it a try it might seem a little slow in the beginning but after page 50 or so it gets really good.
