All the nerd rage over velious beta early access. I said that last night in guild that is was just for beta but everyone went with regular velious.

$100 will probably be the most popular - 3 days early access to actual velious.

Yeah but why would the people who donate the most only get access to the beta early and no the regular version. If anything it should have been the other way around if they were giving early access to both.

I agree with you.

Just going by what I see. My assumption is someone on the dev team actually read what they wrote out to ensure it made sense/was what they wanted to say.

Probably gonna go down just like Kunark beta anyway (i.e. barely anyone beta-tests unless they shut production server down or turn off raiding on the production server.)

It actually does say both Velious and Velious Beta.

Well it's morning, and I'm not really any less disappointed by all of this. Everyone who says "LOL IT'S JUST A FEW XP POTS" is totally missing the point, and anyone who denies that the direct connection between paying USD for ANYTHING and ANY kind of reward ingame because of that is "like RMT or pay-too-win" is blind.

I can understand people wanting to support something they have interest in, and yeah this is their server so they can do whatever the hell they want with it. But that doesn't mean that I, and it looks like a lot of other players, can't be just plain disappointed by the way this was handled.


I mean, we've been hyping Velious for YEARS around here. Even the staff have gotten into it recently, with Verious the Bear and Winter is Coming emotes and stuff. And you know what? Velious beta was announced as a sidenote in a stream focused on a RMT-ish fundraiser for a game that is years away. There are threads all over the forums about special forum names, xp potions, and "lol rmt" ... but there isn't an official announcement of Velious from the staff? The only discussion of Velious is people trolling about how they are gonna pay money so they can get in Velious early and WTS velious loot in NRO /auc as the rest of us wait for the raft?

How can you NOT be a bit baffled by all of this?

Pretty sure he said it was planned to be out by the end of the month. Not set in stone.

Of course I'm not surprised that the guy spreading false information about the beta access is spreading more "rumors."
