Purposely training is not legal and shouldn't be. It shouldn't be in VP either if you ask me, but it is.

I don't walk around and fraps everyone and their mother, but I can tell you, that we've also been trained a bunch of times - the difference is I don't want people banned, so I don't report it. Instead i'll try to root whoever is training or run away until the trainer dies.

Next question from the rule lawyering person would then be: Why should it not be legal - it is a game mechanic? Well, one person being able to bind outside fear and stop 20 people from killing anything just by training mobs on the raid over and over is lame and just as game breaking as having to deal with the people reporting trains.

It's just really difficult to deal with all these gray areas.

If a fire beetle is agroed on you in neriak and you kill a lvl 60 at the same time, did you train him? What if it was 5 green-agro lvl 20 frogs in upper guk? What if it was a LDC and 2 kobolds in sol b? Or all the frogs from entrance in sebillis to disco?

I think the limit should be somewhere between the last two mentioned, but where exactly? impossible to define, and therefore gm judgement will be subjective and in the end people will fraps their enemies to get their characters banned and the game gets lame.

I'd instead propose a game mechanic (WHICH IS ACTUALLY CLASSIC), that whoever first agros a mob has a higher agro than the 2nd player to damage it. On this server, you can pull with the biggest shaman slow and it creates 1 point of agro.
Intent is always up for interpretation, I just don't see it being enforced that way. It seems like it's "if mob agro transfers from you to your enemy for any reason, you trained them".

Example: As a Monk, FD is my best escape ability by far. If I were to run from a fight through two dozen mobs and feign in a corner, would it be training if some idiot followed me the whole way and died to the mobs I just feigned off? I'd say no, but I have a feeling I'd eat a suspension for it.

Ive noticed you have become what Tune was in BW out in OOT. You should stop harboring fugitives and come make a difference with your YT. Feels so good killing VP geared lvl 60s.
Nothing I can do in EQ atm would make any diff to me as far as fun factor goes outside of Velious

In the mean time I been trying to sharpen my FPS skills again playing some QuakeLive, it's F2P you should try it its fun

Training is not legal in VP anymore. I didn't really enjoy doing it anyway.

I don't walk around and fraps everyone and their mother, but I can tell you, that we've also been trained a bunch of times - the difference is I don't want people banned, so I don't report it. Instead i'll try to root whoever is training or run away until the trainer dies.

I don't report people for accidental trains. I will report you for malicious trains. I don't have fraps but I know Nihilum has a link to fraps stickied on their forums and at one point Nizzar said everyone must have it installed.

Next question from the rule lawyering person would then be: Why should it not be legal - it is a game mechanic? Well, one person being able to bind outside fear and stop 20 people from killing anything just by training mobs on the raid over and over is lame and just as game breaking as having to deal with the people reporting trains.

Is the first train not as bad as the second or third train? I think the initial train is always going to be the worst because it will set everyone back. People will have to CR/Rez/Rebuff. Only takes 1 train to ruin a group/raid.

It's just really difficult to deal with all these gray areas.

Its simple really. Don't train, don't grief and don't be a dick.

If the mobs do not attack the person you are attacking then no. If you bring mobs to a group and die on them then yes. If you bring mobs to a group and they have mobs that social and get agro on you transfer agro to their group then yes.

I think the limit should be somewhere between the last two mentioned, but where exactly? impossible to define, and therefore gm judgement will be subjective and in the end people will fraps their enemies to get their characters banned and the game gets lame.

Why not try playing nice for once and not train? Sounds pretty simple to me. Doesn't require any GM/Dev assistance. It also helps you not come off as a dick.

I do miss my pal. I never played Quake much. I played a lot of CSS though if you want to come play there with me. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]. Idk if you play LoL either but if you do we should play that sometime.

if you look at the log file you can see the imps hitting and backstabbing jizzar until the end of the fight... hardly assisting him in doing so.

im not saying anything anything about what agro he had, who recieved it and why. I am saying there was at least one imp stabbing him the entire fight, that did not help him. I am also saying that it was not a charm pet, since that broke and would never be on him.
