Default maps

Hello all, I ended up removing the maps w/o backing up, as I thought the mapfiend pack would work.

How do I go about restoring the maps?

Aren't maps just available in cities, and certain areas?

Yes its my understanding that the maps are only active in newbie areas and cities, all that i have seen anyways. Think of it as a switch that is turned off for everything but those zones. Not been on here long so if i am wrong please correct me =p

What is this...maps you speak of?

One of the first things you do is delete the maps folder...problem solved. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

How did you get them to work? I'm using the same maps and they don't work for me

I simply extracted them into my \Maps folder.

Now, I've only verified them in Felwithe, GFay, ButcherBlock, and Kaladim. However, prior to installing them -- my in-game map was blank. Now, it appears to be correctly populated.

There may be zones that it does NOT work in, however, in the zones I've experienced thus far -- it appears to work.

So again, maps will only work in certain zones correct? Kith, west commons, high pass would not allow me to use the in-game maps and I thought it was a UI issue. So they are not available right?

I just want to make sure that is the case, not a UI issue.

Correct, not exactly a UI issue though. They were disabled by the devs to try to keep things classic.
