Hey everybody,

I've got lots of free time in between classes and was wondering if I could copy my p99 files onto a thumb drive and play p99 on my laptop via the files on the thumb drive. Would I need to move them off of the thumb drive and onto the hard drive of my school lap top and if so, where/how should I do that. I'm not very tech savy so if anybody could point out what/how I should go about accomplishing this I'd be grateful! Thanks [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Put it on the lap top. It's not a big file, and won't cause you issues.

Right click start and choose Explore or whatever it is to see your directories. Make a new directory (folder) off of C name it everquest. Copy the files off your thumb drive to the folder everquest. Make a shortcut on your desktop named: C:\everquest\eqgame.exe patchme If you are starting with the fresh copy of Titanium, follow these instructions : Quote:

 slight variation on this question.....

on live/some forum I asked does eq load faster from a non mechanical hard drive. The answer i got was suprising....no zone loading isnt any faster. BEcause the slow part is a connection issue to the soe servers, that was the answer given. HOwever ive noticed that p99 zone sload a bit faster than live zones, so again am wondering if its worth moving eq onto a non mechanical hdd? (on a sata2 drive atmo) I dont have usb3 on my pc, which is a single core intell with 4gig ram. Advice on fater load times plz )

I may be incorrect but I think load times, while slightly affected by hardware, is more a connection thing. But I also think that its server side as well? I think there is a minimum time built in to server for zoning. Could be wrong tho.

Your fine playing off a flash drive. it will be alittle slower but nothing too noticeable . Just plug the drive in and make sure you have a Eq shortcut in folder with the patchme like you do at home and your set.
