what ever happened to GM Bort?

That guy used to host some badass events every once in a while for the nightowls like myself. One of my most fond memories of p99 to date was when my guild Poison(may have been Acyrid) had a guild pvp event in the arena. We had our fun for an hour while bort watched us (we didn't know) and then afterwards he invited the entire server and summoned whoever was interested. He then broke us into 2 teams, giant unicorns vs. Giant nightmares and each team had 2 or 3 "bosses" to defend/keep alive in the form of inny/ct/etc.

So anyone know what happened to him? I heard he was removed from staff the next day for some reason but never found out why.

Don't think he lasted long for whatever reason. His forum account was "banned" I think, so something was up.

he was removed from staff for not following the staff rules.

Yeah, it was awesome butchh. I think before the whole server-wide royal rumble started there was about 90~ players in the arena. Probably one of my most fond EQ memories of all time, live included. Anyways, its unfortunate he didn't last long round here cause he deffinetly hosted some cool mini-events like this atleast 3 times. The best part was it was always during the real late night/early morning hours EST time zone, and since I'm a nightowl I was always able to participate.
