![]() oh yeah, always been a big fan of boxing.
still think any mma champ could take any boxing champ <regardless of weight class> I understand that a boxers technical ability in the stand up game is greatly superior to any mma fighter (except, honestly, anderson silva, the guy is a prodigy with his hands), but when you add legs, knees, elbows, clinches JUST to the stand up, a boxer is going to be overwhelmed. They aren't trained to watch for the angles those blows come from. It's also a lot easier to block with boxing gloves than 3oz mma gloves (lots of experience with both, mma gloves are like fighting bare knuckle). This doesn't even take into account what would happen if you took a boxer with no jujitsu/wrestling and put him on his back. Which would be easy if they never needed to sprawl/scramble to avoid a takedown. mma > boxing. But i enjoy both a lot.

![]() You ever seen his old pro/am fights from Philippines? He got one-hit KO'd one time and it was FUCKING BRUTAL. His style changed irrevocably after that fight, and became IMHO the greatest pound for pound fisticuffer in modern times.

![]() Sorry guys but boxing is soooo boring. It's like watching NASCAR. People only watch it to see the wrecks. MMA is closer to real fighting than boxing is and is more exciting. I love MMA cause it offers so much more than "dude got knocked out". Boxing is all hype now. The people that fight Mayweather prolly make more to loose than to win. If Mayweather gets beat boxing will die and Mayweather can't let that happen eh?
This sounds more like a conspiracy theory than an opinion but eff it. I would like to see Mayweather fight Rampage Jackson in a boxing contest. Who else in MMA has good enough boxing to challenge Mayweather? Preferably someone closer to Mayweather's weight cause rampage is fuckin huge lol.

![]() Rampage's boxing would not trump mayweather in a straight boxing match. He'd thrash him in a mma bout though.
Pretty sure there are only one, maybe two people who'd have a chance vs mayweather in a straight boxing match (esp. with boxing gloves) and that's a big maybe. Anderson Silva is one. Gotta understand that the technical aptitude that goes into a professional boxer. You only practice against a handful of angles and punches, and you get really, really, really good at avoiding/exploiting those attacks. MMA fighters just dont do that, because of the wide range of attacks they have to deal with. This is the main reason why people in the know always say a top notch pro boxer will always outbox a top notch pro mma fighter. In a fight with all available weapons, the mma fighter is going to win 9.9/10 times, unless the boxer has additional training (Ie, he was a kickboxer/wrestler before going pro boxer)

![]() Actually, when it comes to wrestlers, there's two here. One pro, one trained pro but fights on the outlaw circuit.
I'll leave it to the pro to announce himself, but I'm the outlaw.
