How would you guys reccomend I get into Dota 2 as a former Dota (RoC) and current LoL player?

I've given it a couple of games and it just doesn't feel nearly as polished as LoL. I also really fucking hate the graphics/darkness of everything. I can never tell what's going on. Anyway to make that better?

Dota2 much better. Simply much better. Once you make the plunge you won't look back, I always say yeah I'll get a few games of LoL today and then I don't because I can't bring myself to spend the time playing an inferior game when dota is right there.

I thought Dota 2 was too slow and passive. I enjoy the pace of League better.

it's funny how people like this never actually explain why they think Dota2 is better. probably because it's not, but i'm not willing to download that trash to try it.

inb4 last hitting your own creeps to kill them before your opponent (aka denying) because that definitely goes in the worse than LOL category.

You bash someone for not giving a detailed description of why one said game is better yet you pretty much conclude one game is better than the other without even being willing to try the alternative. Like I said I've played both unlike you. As to why Dota is better you should just stop being so single minded and try it out for yourself as to that will be better than anyone's reasons. Also, I don't see why someone would have problems with another strategic element being implemented (your talk of denial) especially when it can help you become stronger and your opponent weaker.

Play more than a few games of dota and you will see why on your own. Then again to each their own and some people simply prefer others, me having played both it is my opinion that Dota2 is the superior game, the biggest reason being the horribly boring same old meta in every single game of LoL.

I liked LOL a lot. Then I played DoTA2. Shit is addicting as hell and fun. More places to hide/engage on map, more room for tactics, more characters, more involved abilities, better game options (I love single draft, random draft, all random, least played particularly), not pay to play.

LOL has the leveling system though, I'll give it that. But man, DoTA2 so fun I have both icons next to each other on desktop and I haven't clicked the LOL one since I installed DOTA2.
