patch 28 problems.

Ive been able to patch on my computer no problem but when patching v28 on my buddies computer it wont go through. I get Error code SP-1..
Save file, extract into the EQ folder like usual and still getting Error message at character screen. Any help?

Does your buddy have admin privelages on the Everquest directory to be able to paste/extract the files into the directory?

Could your friend play prior to the latest patch?

Oh yeah. hes got several characters 50+ this is the first patch that wouldnt work. I went through notepad rightclick run as Admin, found file and extracted into EQ folder. Just like always but keeps getting that SP-1 errorcode

Why not try the launcher to update the patch? I used it Sunday morning.
