Is morrowind anything like Oblivion? Oblivion was fun for a while but I got bored of it.
It's like Oblivion in that Oblivion is a bad version of Morrowind with better graphics.

It's what I would play when I didn't have access to EQ back in the day because it was the next best thing. In retrospect it was superior in many ways.

Final fantasy: crisis core (ff7 prelude) on PSP is awesome. It will bring a tear to your eye if you are a fan of FF7. Combat system is a little weird, but its not game breaking. After completing, I recommend jumping right into a story playthrough of ff7 to extend your immersion.

Others;
Xenogears
Kingdom Hearts
Super Mario RPG
FF9

Kingdom of Amalur is probably the closest you'll get for what you're looking for. It's very repetitive though so keep that in mind. Fun but over stays its welcome is the best way to put it.

The battle system is strange but the story was so worth it. Now that I'm posting about it I want to fire up my PSP and start playing it again!
No I don't own a vita.
