no1 is saying the world is ending, just asking to possibly revisit the underlying rationale of the rule, one requested by players, to see if it still applies or should be expanded / removed. why this continues to befuddle people in this thread I'll never know, but my guess is it's a combination of nihilum hatred and dum

what is the point of being bound there besides shitty on lvl 52 raids? it also allows 53+ clerics bound there to keep gating back and CHing 52 raiders after being banished. the rule wouldnt have been put in place if people werent abusing something.

I'm sure nothing bad will happen if you stay bound there.

Worst case you can always say you were going to but couldn't last night to see if he'll really do it then try to get unbanned.

What's the worst that could happen.

Since I was the one who brought the issue to Rogean's attention, I'd think I would know a lil somethin about it u no?

http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...highlight=bind
Thanks

Looks like no binding in ffa raid zones

Whats the issue? It doesnt say "bind therr now like TD before we turn it off" it was done to prevent zerging raid mobs with trains and allowing 1 person to stop a raid.

Damn u guys are dumb as dirt

The rule was before Kunark, so everything you just said makes no sense. We, the players, requested it, because at the time casters spawned with a full mana bar and exp loss on pvp was negligible, so you had casters like wizards who could one shot people insta popping dropping bombs over and over. Once the patch went in that removed mana from casters upon death the whole concept of bind-rushing disappeared, and the underlying rationale for the removal of binding from zones in which it was enabled in classic no longer seemed to apply. However, if you are to think in fact that bind-rushing is still an epidemic on Red99, then the same logic that was used to argue for the implementation of that change should lead you to the conclusion that KC should be flagged FFA as well.

i thought casters spawned with however much mana they had when they died. but i do agree, KC was a no bind zone on live. no idea why people can bind there atm.

SOme guilds are just getting into vox and naggy loot. Why do you think just because nilly doesny need to worry about their vox raid being disrupted anymore makes the rule dumb now? Supreme rallyd nizzar tune all fought to have the bind remove d so holo could bind train. Not sure if ur srs.

PLEASE stay bound there tho.

I actually vaguely remember that as well tbh, but the point is the same, you could still pop, drop an ice comet, die, pop another ice comet, die, repeat until yes eventually you'd run oom. The whole bind-rushing thing was never even that big an issue, I think it hurt holo once pretty bad in Fear when half of Nihilum was bound there and kept popping up like Saphira and Destin after we killed them and they'd proceed to drop bolts / ice comets over and over.

1) I'm not bound there. 2) Why do you keep focusing on Permafrost while ignoring the other FFA zones and whether or not the list should be expanded? 3) Do you really think being bound in perma matters if someone really wanted to stop someones raid there? It's FFA, you can bind @ the zone in and it takes 20 seconds to run in with 60's to wherever the raids at and crush them.

Invis pulling things to charm out of the pit. Next question.

Who cares anyway HB? Lady Vox can be killed with 6 people in classic, less even LOL (credit for this knowledge given to Supreme).
