Spells: feared mob twice now immune?

Was killing in ancient croc ph in guk. i feared it a couple times then i tried to fear again and it was immune. is this normal in any way?

I rooted a bat twice in lguk with a druid and it continued to chase me without a fade message recently.

It *might* have been water or nearness to water related. That's all I got.

Resolving due to age and possible water issue. Control test on other mobs could have been helpful to validate.
