EQ Launcher NOT working

I will try to be as specific as possible during this post to help resolve my issue. I started playing again a few weeks ago and now I am having an issue using the EQemu Launcher. I keep getting the message "Error while retrieving newest version" and then "Could not reach web server, trying again in 10 seconds..." The version of the EQemu is 1.24 and I have never had an issue like this until today. I used the Duxa all in one installer when installing my Everquest Titanium. Upon reading further I have noticed you do not need to use EQemu to play and you can use the shortcut on your desktop.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest\EverQuest.exe" patchme

Above is the properties of the Everquest shortcut. My eqhost file is: [LoginServer]
Host=login.eqemulator.net:5998

I cannot use the shortcut to log in either....

Please help, will provide more specific information if needed. I haven't had any issues until today! I played this morning briefly with no issues....

I've only been playing for about 10 days but I started getting this message for the first time a few days ago in the evenings.

Oh figured it out. Just right click on the box somewhere and it gives you a drop down menu that includes "Only start Evequest" so you don't have to patch.

Well that was stupid simple.. Lol I am able to play but I am not sure why I cannot patch
