Can all races learn basic skills just by using them? - Page 2

From what my brain remembers (and i could be dead wrong on this) certain skills increase based on certain stats as well.

Combat skills increase more from higher STR as well as smithing if STR is higher than INT

General skills increase more from higher INT

Casting skills increase more from higher INT for casters or WIS for priests and hybrids associated with the relevant stat.

Archery/Throwing Skills increase more from higher DEX

Anyone able to confirm this or am I completely off my rocker? lol

Not sure about that, but I did notice something odd lately. All of my other characters had their sense heading maxed out withing a couple levels after I bound my directional keys to use the skill. My rogue on the other hand is level 12, and hasn't leveled up a single time. I've even tossed a few points into it at the trainer.

This may be a silly question, but is your sense heading button in the same spot? ^^

Are your other characters casters and hybrids? Rogues never have a very high wis or int, so they skill up on generic skills (i.e. non-combat) slower than classes who buff those mental stats. I know my rogue skilled up slower than my enchanter...

Yeah, same spot. Hotbar 1, slot 0.

All characters listed in my sig had maxed skill within the first few levels, including my ogre warrior. It's not a huge deal, I know my way around most zones, especially at that level range. It's just a convenience thing more than anything.
