Windows 8 - Crash often when logging

EQ runs fine for me on Windows 8, except for one problem. When I log out, the game will crash most of the time. This is annoying when I am trying to swap chars.

Does anyone share this issue or have a fix?

Happens to me under Win 8. Never figured out a fix other than using OSX/Win 7.

Yeah, I didn't have this issue under Windows 7.
