Effective Magician PL

Whats the most effective way to PL with a mag. i use fire pet and release him and i also use malise and DS on myself and let lower lvl hit him. What do you guys do with your Mags?

I hope your using a clicky reclaim to get back your mana. I use fire pet to PL and reclaim him when mob is low hp. Power lvled a druid from 30-40 in Kaesora on spiders this way without any issue, didnt take very long and I don't believe I had ever dropped below 80% mana. I dont think mage PL is very effective until late 20's or early 30's.
