![]() Would you get the exp penalty for grouping with a troll sk or do only they have it?

![]() XP penalties are shared amongst people in the group.

![]() You could get sensitive about all the XP penalties running around the server and exclude the SKs, paladins, rangers, trolls and lizards... or you could just enjoy the game as it was meant to be enjoyed.
My troll SK in days gone by used to struggle for a group in the 40s, purely because people didn't want to XP with a penalty. One group had a fairly ungeared monk (wind the server back to early 2011) but they continued to advertise for a tank in Sol B while continuing to let me sit at the zoneline...totally retarded, they probably had more downtime because of healer mana than they would have if they'd brought a proper tank in to take the damage. If you want to min/max to 60, get powerlevelled... otherwise just let the hybrid penalty guys in, because there's no better tank than a good SK [You must be logged in to view images. ![]() You're actually in one of the better zones. Some careful pulls and you'll be okay - if you can grind it out til about L11-12 in the pit, move into Kurn's Tower and you're in THE best levelling area for 11-18/20 in the game. Also, if you can avoid killing any burynai it makes life easier in Kurn's as you're not instantly "kill on sight" to them.
Failing that, see if there's any other low levels around and pair up. I wouldn't leave Kunark too soon as you'll be stuck for a monk trainer for Feign Death and teh various other skills (never rolled a monk to know what level you get each skill but there's a lot in the teens I think?). EDIT: If you really want a change of scenery from Field of Bone, there's always a big wandering mob area outside of Cabilis in Lake of Ill Omen. I'd argue its a lot slower as you're running around more to look for mobs but its doable - stick to one of the walls and pull to there maybe [You must be logged in to view images. ![]() Yeah I've been in the pit just not much success. I caught a couple random aggro's and struggling to kill the blue cons in there at the moment. Thought maybe there was a spot a little easier is all. I'll tough it out [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

![]() Some of my best exp groups were with sk's and pallies and sometimes multiples of each with a bard or ranger tossed in. I'd take a group of 6 good hybrids and all of the exp penalty that comes with it than a group of no hybrids and one crappy player who consistently trains the group. In my experience it's the good players who get groups, regardless of penalties. Probably why I can't find groups no matter what I play.

Players come into it too, I remember Enterlooper (DE Wizard), sorry if you're reading this... who in KC would just mana burn and afk for 5 minutes. Wizards have a rough time on getting groups anyway, but to be semi-totally afk for 5 minutes isn't helping your cause. I tend to find people remember the good players, the ones who play their class well and put the effort in...versus an enchanter who takes ages to CC mobs because he's too busy watching Netflix.
