P1999 from Middle East

I am having issues logging into the P1999 server. I get to server select screen then when I click play it eventually kicks me back to the name/password screen. I can log into The Hidden Forest server and play.

During my downtime I have tried every fix I could google. I am on a satellite connection and wondering if it is a ping issue or maybe the IP is getting blocked.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using EQemu or did you edit the files yourself?

I think they need more wells in the Middle East. Go out and dig some wells and try again.

Did you install the patch software stuff for p99?

While I was in Afghanistan I was able to play via satellite, so I know it's possible.
