What would you do?

Ever played a game so much that it becomes a regular fixture of your dreams? I just woke up from a dream where the server was wiped; every character was reduced to level 1 with no gear and no money. Myself, I grudgingly began leveling up again. But what would YOU do?

That has been my problem here. I have had every class and race about 5 times with 8 alts. So yeah, I have had a wipe about 5 times already. And just yesterday I lost 3 bags of gear that I dropped on the ground in a hut to give to my other alt. Happened before once also. SO I know all about wipes.

You'd be better off paying someone to do the xfer then risking it on so much gear..

What's going on with SWGemu lately? I haven't played for over a year. Have they actually accomplished anything in that time? Have any more classes been completed? There were no pets, no Biomechanic, no Droid Engineer, no Animal Trainer etc etc when I left. Have they made any progress whatsoever or is the project as basically dead as it appears?

I vote "Quit altogether".

Because I enjoy EQ so much I would be temped to grumble and bitch and just restart a charactor.

One thing would stop me. The trust would be gone. Right now, you have to place a rather huge amount of trust in Nilborg, Rogean and gang in order to devote so much time to the game. It is riskier than placing trust in a paid for game. After all, the motivation of the creators seems to depend entirely upon their whim.

If they wiped, I could never believe that that would not wipe again when it was convenient. I just can't play under those circumstances. True, I love the journey, but I also love the accomplishment of gaining levels and items.

I don't really think Nilborg and crew would ever "Wipe" the server. I think they understand that a lot of people on here are older and have a lot less time to devote to the Grind, just like them. So a lot of people on here would just quit for good if that happened.

But I am sure some day the server will probably just shut down. Lake of interest, time or resources by Nilborg, or the player base dropping down to nothing. It is a risk now on Red to have that happen..

Already in the process with a mage. If you dedicate yourself enjoy having that tank merc get you to 65 in under a day. I spent a bunch of time doing pointless side quests, tasks, and achievements and my /played in still only 3 days to halfway through 60.

Also enjoy having Defiant and Consigned max your stats at level 30 and have enough hp/mana regen to fight eternally while mounted.
