Game Mechanics: Wood Elf Males Hats

For some reason I can disable my helm graphic, but once I zone, it appears on my head again. I have tried both the button in options and the text command. Not in the inventory window, I mean on my avatar.

Choosing NOT to display your helm was disabled, as per classic.
