![]() Which release do you think will impact the blue server more, VP or Velious?
And what do you think the server high point will be?

I think if Velious came out in a timely manner it might have a shot at topping the record, but I don't think that is likely given how busy the few developers we do have are already. I don't know how big of an undertaking Velious is compared to what else they've done, but I've gotten the impression that they haven't done very much work on it yet, and if it is as sizable of a project as Kunark was, I don't expect it anytime soon. I think in that time frame, a lot of people will actually quit (not just take breaks with the intention of coming back like people did for Kunark), which will definitely hurt the whole return thing. That being said, Velious is a huge draw for raiders - I'd say much more so than VP. Since a big chunk of the community is raiders, I think it will bring some people back, just not as many as Kunark.

I do think, though, that the population will stay relatively steady. Too many people have been here. They may be away now, but they'll stop by every now and then. That should add some resiliency. When the pvp server is no longer beta, I foresee some leaving to go there. Then there's EQNext. Depending how how much it sticks. Me, I am strongly tempted to try out EQ2. I'd probably try that before I tried EQNext, if EQNext even comes out.

![]() I know there are some of us, who simply don't play like we used to 10 years ago. Myself I am 30 now, not 19 in college, I have a mortgage, real job, and other crap I do in real life, that I didn't the first time around.
With that, I log in maybe a couple hours here and there, and then not at all for a couple weeks due to life, but I expect I will be logging in and out to play p99 for a while to come, and yea when Kunark came out is when a lot of people, who I imagine are similar to me logged in again to play, and I see no reason that Velious won't do the same. p99 is sort of a niche thing, and as I recall when Velious came out the first time is when people went ape shit over the game. With that, I know of dozens of people who have accounts now but don't really play, but loved Velious more than some of their own kids! As for red99, most people who want to play that long term, likely aren't playing blue regularly anyhow, and therefor won't really make a difference to server pop. Most of this has already been said, I just don't like copying quotes and stuff, hah
