Game Mechanics: Mobs scowl and dont KOS.

Okay so I 1st noticed it running through oasis. All the crocs there con scowl to me and were even and Dblue, but none of them ever aggro'd on to me as a ran past them. Wasn't sure if it had anything to do with my sow at the time but i didnt drop it to test. Then noticed it again from mobs in front of Najena. Conned scowl to attack yet they let me pass right through their party. Shrug.

wtf? This is something that's on the default PEQ distribution. Servers like Kings and Bandits had crocs that aggroed you in oasis when they're supposed to be neutral or non-kos.

Didn't think this would be something on P99 distribution.

Even in Classic EQ on live the Deepwater Crocs would scowl but not attack.

This is for caimans/crocs in oasis btw. OP, not sure what you're referring to outside of Najena.

What do you mean wrong, all I meant by my post is that Oasis crocs aren't supposed to attack you if you're just standing there. On the default PEQ distribution I believe they do which is why Kings and Bandits crocs attacked people. Mysteriously the caimans didn't...just crocs.

Perhaps I just wasn't remembering classic live correct then. =(
As far as Najena went I could of sworn it was one of those rock dervish but now I'm second guessing myself as it was pretty late last night.

I am 2/2 for fail-bug posting now. The future looks bleak =(

Similiar possible bug i noticed. In Unrest the mobs con kos and sometimes it takes them forver to aggro. I ran up to a zombies and other in the Court yards to pull but i was like right on top of them and they wouldnt aggro from proxiemty, it seemed i had to run like ontop of them and wait a bit for them to realize

You sure it wasn't death beetles? Death beetles in Unrest are another classic mob like Oasis crocs that would scowl but not attack.

I'm not sure if this was a bug from the classic era or if the original devs were trying to be clever, for instance Scarecrows in WK scowl but aren't kos, but that kind of makes sense if you think about what a scarecrow is supposed to be.
