Default Iksar Warrior - Starting stats

Here in a little while I will be starting up my Iksar warrior. I had one on live back in 2001 or so but I want everyones input now on where I should throw my 25 points in.

Previously I put them into STA, but I have heard arguments for putting it into DEX.

What is the consensus?

I read that STA is the hardest thing to increase via items, and being that your job is to get hit as much as possible, I would say stick with STA and worry about DEX when you get proccing weapons. If you can afford those, you can afford some DEX items.

I'll always remember a warrior saying to me....

"I wish I had put all my points into charisma since that is the main stat for DI proc"

but then again that was a raiding warrior post pop....

I guess the whole play what you want doesn't apply the iksar warrior combo [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I thought AC bonus actually made Iksars a decent race for Warriors?

Well they can't wear crafted.. they cant wear indocolite.. and they can't wear cobalt. Obviously if you can hold out till later in veilous, they'll catch up in a hurry.. but not until then.

Play what -class- you want ; )

But stamina, regardless. Even for an ogre.

Play what you want to play. If you like the idea of an Iksar warrior go right ahead and roll one, a good player will manage just fine whatever race he chooses for his character. It could be a bit tougher for you in some situations, but who cares? It's a game, there are no "right" or "wrong" races for any class.

As for starting statistics, it's generally understood that Stamina is the way to go, though some players may be inclined to put some points in Strength for a greater carry capacity or Dexterity to increase the occurrence of weapon effects.
