Default The player Triik

This player is going around telling people that they are going to buy things from you, sending you to some out of the way city/zone saying he will buy them, and then he's not there and claims nothing of buying/selling anything.
This player also does the same thing if you're lfg with the same similar results.
He stated ingame that he is going to remake his character just so he can be taken off ignore.
Just a heads up.

Just adding what I saw in chat, don't have any first-hand info.

I think he should be GM ported to the plane of mischief.

Enjoy the run home, lil buddy!

He sent me a tell for a group in Mistmoore, I went there, and he responded with having no knowledge of any previous conversation. He's just trying to waste people's time.

That is uber shitty considering how difficult it is for some people to find groups and the travel involved to get to certain places. I would go as far as to say that somebody like this should just get banned and be done with it.

I don't think it should be illegal to play pranks on people. Scamming them for items and money? Ok... but just because you're annoying and you play pranks on people? I think that's a bit far. I doubt you'd even get a warning on live for that kind of stuff.

I strongly disagree, given the choice I'd be much prefer to be scammed out of pixels then scammed out of my time.

I consider this much more ban worthy then even cheating, given that someone doing this is having a much more direct negative impact on players then the upper guilds using cheats to out poopsock each other. 300+ cheaters and I didn't notice, and it didn't take any enjoyment away from me, however one guy pulling this stunt would surely ruin a night on p99.

Well he's also sending people tells that he needs a port for money etc, or he's going to buy something from someone, and then he's nowhere to be found. That's still along the lines of "scamming" but I guess not.

ignore doesn't matter when you can make a brand new character and put on /anon in about 1.5 minutes.
So, yeah . Ban is the only option.

That's all well and good but this isn't live. What would you say to running from Freeport to Mistmoore (off hours so you couldn't find a port) expecting a good exp group that you have been waiting for for hours, only to find out it was a "simple harmless prank".

People like that don't belong on this server and since the guy isn't paying to play he really doesn't have any such rights. You weed people like this out early and set an example that this is not the server you go to for this sort of thing.
