Default spell effects are on but cannot see them

used duva all in one installer to try and fix it still no dice, can anyone pin point where the issue would be and how to resolve? many thanks.

What client are you using? Is this a fresh install?

Was kinda hoping for 1 or a few files that control this that someone could post/link me to that I could do a copy/replace one for a sure-fire fix; as my spell effects and particles in game were un-changed.

hint: I did download the two files to see what the hidden forest server was like, was utter crap and I tried my best to remove what it added/changed. had to use the duova all in one installer just to be able to play on any server again so that is status of my file system.

Yes I am kicking myself for just not copying the directory before I tried out THF for all of 3 minutes lol. =(

also last thing after toying with deleting all kinds of stuff and re-adding files and still having exact same issue i noticed that I have loading screen sound, environment sounds, combat music. literally everything is as it should be except I also get NO sound when casting spells and no particle effects. Could anyone post the files i need please this is drivin me nuts, thank you!!!! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

yes, yes. Cmon guys can any devs help me out on this has nothing to do with file pathing when launching the game or in game settings!

Can you try to move the eqclient.ini file out from the Everquest folder (move it and keep it safe as you will want to put it back if its not the issue). Start EQ up again and it will create a new default ini file (chat colors, UI settings, game settings etc).
