Default Monk Raid Gear

My monk alt has finally hit 60 and looking to play it more for raids. I'm looking to figure out what is the progression of both consumables/equipment that I should prioritize getting. For the most part my equipment is random cheap trash. I do have though:
  • Fungi
  • Tstaff
  • Epic
  • Beads
  • Slowstone amber
  • Jboots + SOW pots
  • DA Idol

Looking for ideas on things I should get on the side and raid loot I should prioritize. If you have ideas please let me know what and why!

Some of the monk stuff is easily replaced, but at the same time its a good holdover until you get enough DKP for the BiS stuff (the obvious like Brother X Headband, Crystasia Ring, Feeliux' Cord, Gharn's Rock, etc)

Windraider's Belt
Zlexak Wrist
Ebony Headband
Dagarn Pants
Shovel of the Harvest / ton Po's bo staff
Flurry neck

real raid monks dont need gear though -- too busy dying on pulls to worry about what gear theyve got. unless you want to tank Zlandicar / HoT / Telk etc

You want resists for sure.

https://wiki.project1999.com/Shawl_of_Protection - Best item in the game for all classes IMO. Nothing beats one item that has like 4 items worth of all resists, especially in an off-slot like shoulders.

Shawl of Protection will be somewhat expensive DKP-wise though.

Don't spend too much DKP on items in slots you are going to swap for resist gear. Rings, Earrings, and Wrist items come to mind. Even really nice raid rings like Ring of Destruction only have 5 all res, compared to 8 all res from the player crafted rings. I am not saying you should never get something like a Ring of Destruction, but that should be one of the last items you get.

Get the PoM resistance Flowers as well. Having +50 to any resistance you want is great. Especially since you may get dispelled while pulling.

Abashi's is amazing, but you will be waiting a while for that. Other Monks will have a lot of DKP saved up already for Abashi's in any guild that regularly kills Vulak. You only have a 3/24 (1/8) chance or so of it dropping on a Vulak kill as well.

Practically speaking it's not the best item to go for first, unless you are very patient.
