Recommended cheap laptop for p99?

Moved and had to get rid of the desktop - currently have a macbook pro for work, but unfortunately Parallels doesn't like to play nice with p99.

Has anyone had any luck with any inexpensive windows laptops? I'm assuming p99 can practically run on a potato, but if there are any recs for reliable inexpensive laptops (thinkpad? lenovo?) that are proven to run p99, please share

Are you trying to raid? What’s your budget? I have a 10 year old thinkpad x1 carbon that still works great that I got for like $200 refurbished on eBay but it can’t really handle big tov raids with lots of people

Personally, I find the game runs flawlessly in Wine on my old x1 carbon—even raids. My actual Windows 11 gaming PC... not so much. Way more random crashes on Win 11.

which gen x1 carbon? mine is the 2nd gen with the horribad touchbar which was released in 2014. i also only have 8gb of ram though. And did you set the compatibility mode with your new gaming pc?

You can find some good deals on ebay for around $200 but if youre willing to spend around 700 you can get something like easily 10x better.

idk, something with a lightweight battery, SSD and fresh install of windows. Maybe hawk facebook market. EQ dun't take a lot.

Do you know whether yours had its HDD swapped out for an SSD? I've found running from SD or usbstick on old machines can be good alternative to an old system hdd.

I like the Acer Nitro 5, it's a budget gaming laptop and for around 600 you can get SSD, a dedicated graphics card and an intel i5 processor. I am not going to say they last for ever, I am on my third one in the 10 years or so I have been playing p99 but they run everything just fine at highest clip/resolution/particle etc. GL [You must be logged in to view images. Yea it has a ssd which helps for fast loading and stuff but doesn’t help with heavy raids the graphics card still sucks.

OP id try to find the cheapest intel arc laptop that meets your budget.

It’s not just the fast loading but the writes too if you don’t want to filter out a bunch of stuff but keep log on.

I ran P99 on a netbook for over a year... it only struggled a little if I was raiding.
