Default Inconsistent Mob Respawn Timers or Server Lag?

Hey everyone,

Lately I’ve noticed what feels like inconsistent mob respawn times in a few different zones, along with occasional lag spikes during peak hours. Sometimes mobs seem to pop earlier or later than expected, and other times there’s brief rubber‑banding or delayed actions.

I’m not sure if this is related to recent server changes, zone load, or just expected behavior during busy times. I’ve checked my own connection and it seems stable on my end.

Has this been discussed recently, or is there an explanation for how respawns and performance are handled under heavier load? Just trying to understand if this is normal or something specific.

Thanks.

I run GINA timers for mob respawns and I have NOT had any issues with mob timers at all. Kael, Skyfire, OT, Charassis, Wakening Lands, and Chardok have all been perfect. Even ToFS was popping timers as expected during the massive holiday influx of players.

Rubberbanding/Delays are normal, sometimes it LOOKS like a mob I just rooted is still running at me, but I can sit and in about 5 seconds he'll magically snap back to his proper root location (this has been going on for years). I've also seen a lot of delayed "swing" animations, after so many years I just stare at the chat box now when things are requiring a bit more precision.

But if you wanna dig into this....
What zone?
Which mobs?
What time of day?
What 3rd party apps are you running?

Also, if you really want/need a robust response, I would head to the technical forums. This is the Blue Gen forum and we're all filthy neckbeards up in here. I'm wheezing just from typing this [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Same, I use timers for many things including respawn timers and if my timer is correct it's not just "close" it's 100% accurate every time.

The only possible confusion I could see is if you're encounter mobs that have different timers. Simple example is like the queen PH in CC, I think she's on a 20 minute timer and the rest of the dungeon is on 14:50 or something like that. Some patrols also have shorter timers than other mobs.
