Default Stand-alone 4k UI

I'm currently using Rustle 4k UI (https://www.eqinterface.com/download...fo.php?id=6829) which is a fantastic UI that is exactly what I want.... except for the always open bags that cause me to crash all the time. My current bandaid solution to this problem is using the stand-alone QQ UI Mini Inventory (https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...d.php?t=232071) with Rustle 4k. All I had to do was replace the EQUI_Inventory.xml file for Rustle with the QQ UI equivalent. It works but obviously is not ideal, my inventory is now very tiny compared to the rest of the UI. Better than crashing all the time, though.

So I figured I would try to use the upscaled Velious 4k inventory. (https://www.eqinterface.com/download...fo.php?id=6847) When I try the same method of replacing the Rustle EQUI_Inventory.xml with the Velious equivalent, I do not get the same results and the UI fails to load.

I'm hoping to get some help in either making the Velious 4k option work or pointed in the right direction for how to edit .xml files to upscale the QQ UI inventory. This might be wishful thinking, but figured I'd give it a shot anyways. Thanks!

The crashing is caused the the always open bags shown on the inventory window.

You can avoid this in one of two ways:

1) Remember to reload the UI every time you die and before you loot corpse. I am bad at this so i go with #2.

2) Use a different inventory window. EQUI_Inventory.xml is the name of the file you need to replace. I use the one from QQui.

I have been doing this. My only problem with this solution is that the QQui is not 4k, so the Inventory window is absurdly small. I tried replicating this solution with the 4k Velious UI but it does not produce the same results and the UI does not load. I'm trying to find a way to make the 4k Velious inventory (or any 4k inventory, really) work with Rustle4k the same way the QQui works.

Yeah, sometimes UI files reference other files so when you try and copy and paste from one UI to another it won't load. It can be a pain to get them to work.

You could always make the QQui Inventory window bigger yourself. It's not terribly difficult; just tedious.

I'm very much down to give this a shot if you can point me in the right direction on where to start

Decided to brute force it and made a serviceable replacement. Thanks for the advice.
