![]() Ringed Mace of the Ykesha 10/22 procs Ykesha
vs Sarnak Warhammer 9/20 4 sec. stun 130k give or take vs 6k. I'd be interested to hear what some of you other tanks have experienced with the RMoY. After looking at it as a possible upgrade it would seem to be somewhat overpriced for what it brings to the table. Especially when considering other options for aggro such as the sarnak warhammer, silken whip, yak club, etc. From personal experience, the sarnak warhammer rocks for aggro and is decent dps. Snap aggro from the proc will out aggro slows, even level monks with T Staff and FBSS, etc. I love it! It seems to proc alot with about 145 ish DEX. So why "upgrade"? The main aggro component of the RMoY ykesha proc is a 1 second stun. Sarnak has a 4 second stun. The ykesha also brings a 75 point dd, but that is not a huge bit of aggro. Can anyone make a case for the RMoY? Does it proc more or what? According to the raw item info from Lucy, it is not one of the proc rate increased weapons (such as bloodfrenzy, et al). Incidentally, the procrate for a weapon can be found for the live servers on Lucy's "raw" data section for an item. Look at the entry for procrate, and you can see that for the bloodfrenzy it is 55. Which according to the Steel Warrior means that it procs 55% more than the default rate of 2ppm, so about 3ppm. http://lucy.allakhazam.com/itemraw.html?id=28855 I see no such mod for RMoY. Would love to hear you guys' opinions. Keep on tankin'! | ||

![]() First of all, the Ykesha proc isn't just a 75dd, it also has a 0.1 sec stun. That's the main portion of the aggro. 75 damage doesn't matter squat, it's the stun you want, and the length of the stun doesn't seem to matter for the purpose of threat generation. Thus, an Ykesha proc generates a bit more threat than a plain stun proc because Ykesha is a stun plus 75dd. Also, the hypothetical word in the proverbial street has always been that Ykesha weapons procced 25% more than other weapons with unaltered proc rates. I don't know whether this is true, true only for SSoY, or what. I'm not sure if current Lucy data can be trusted to apply correctly to this timeline. Personally, I'd just stick with the Sarnak Warhammer unless you have so much cash that spending 130k (is it that high now? Last time I cared, it was 80k!) on what is at most a minor upgrade is inconsequential to you. You'd probably get more threat generation out of upgrading your haste item, for instance, plus all the other benefits that comes with more DPS and the added stats of upgrading an FBSS to a RBG.

The sword of the Morning as an example has a 5 second stun proc, yet the aggro doesn't even compare to my regular stun spell (4 seconds) aggro.

![]() Sorry Dane, I should have clarified. I used to use x2 ykesha clubs, then switched to warhammer/club and noticed more procs than using x2 ykesha clubs. This isn't based off any statistics, just eyeing how often I procced.

![]() Two RMoY probably the better option for best agro but Sarn Ham and perhaps a warding star/BotBDE would be better overall for good dps/agro with cheaper price range.

But also, the Ringed Mace does seem to have a slighty higher proc rate, but nothing spectacular. I have done testing with both the mace and hammer and either one are great options. The trick is finding a good offhand to match either weapon. Currently I'm using Ringed Mace/Warhammer and it works great.

Is the ykesha proc different on the RMoY? Does it not proc as often on the SSoY/YWC as it does on the RMoY? And aren't these weapons now dirt cheap (SSoYs in the 5-700pp range)?

![]() The RM is only that price due to the fact it no longer drops, if it still droped it would be 1/5th the price orless
