Why are EverQuest players always so creepy?

I had to log off line because this level 65 dude who I've never met before won't stop following me around trying to PL me.

I'm not here to get PL'd, I'm here to relive some nostalgia before Mischief starts. I very fondly remember being a wood elf rogue and solo'ing in Lake of Ill Omen with my slime-coated harpoon and serrated bone dirk all summer long.... and Im basically trying to achieve the same thing, but with slightly better weapons (trak tooth, and sarnak backstabber, items that i dreamed about back then)...

but I cant because this high level dude keeps trying to PL me, and Im not even planning on playing this character really passed level 25-30... its like please stop. it feels so creepy and stalker.

I know exactly how you feel. Some shite called "a sand giant" keeps trying to help me with my levels in Oasis. Every time I log on, he's waiting for me on the dock, offering me his big sword.

I did this from 2016 to 2018... Made a lot of friends who no longer talk to me.
