Isn't it when guys creepily stalk girls on youtube or whatever and constantly comment\superchat stuff like "I love this! You're so right!". It's a way of making yourself seem meek and unthreatening and always in agreement with a girl you want to bang.
Could be wrong.

The term is new to me, but the tactic is probably as old as humanity. It can work to an extent if you're young and the teenage girls you're chasing at that age don't know any better. Adult women are usually wise to the tactic due to having seen it so often and it reeks of weakness and lack of confidence. Keep in mind that a lot of people posting on sites like YouTube probably ARE teenie-boppers or nerds, with either group being typically limited in their relationship experience. Hence I'm not convinced there's anything untoward going on here even if it's uncomfortable to see another dude bumble around in such a fashion.
Alternate version: Raise your hand if you've ever sat and listened to music that you detest because the gal sitting next to you in the car liked it. Been there done that. Least cars back then had the straight-across front seats so as to make the nuisance worth it. Dating today seems like it must be a dreary experience.
