Default Bard item or Monk item? (Dozekar loot)

So I have the quest items to get a https://wiki.project1999.com/Serrated_Dragon_Tooth ranged slot item, and I am having trouble deciding which character is best to use it for (bard or monk). The stats on the tooth are:

30ac | +10 sta / dex / agi | +12 to all resists | 41% haste

My bard has: https://wiki.project1999.com/Thunderstone

15ac | +10 str / sta; +5 agi | +15 mr

and my monk has: https://wiki.project1999.com/Nevederia%27s_Left_Eye

15ac | +15 str / sta / agi | +50 hp | +10 mr

Currently my bard has only a 34% haste item, which probably isn't a huge deal for a bard (and I am hoping to get Yelinak gloves for him anyways which have 41% haste). Meanwhile, my monk has VP boots (https://wiki.project1999.com/Grey_Suede_Boots) for a 41% haste item, but I could switch to Ikatiar boots (https://wiki.project1999.com/Ancient_Wyvern_Hide_Boots) if I had the doze ranged item haste. I would lose some raw HP, but gain a lot of AC and resists.

I'm torn on which character I should put the serrated dragon tooth on, so any input would be greatly appreciated!

Stats are irrelevent.

Loot is irrelevelent.

Server was beaten in kunark gear.

Get whatever looks best.

Non throwing items on a monk is aids and just one more thing to swap around. MQ the tooth to an alt.

If it's going to the range slot on either character, then I would definitely give it to the Monk.

If your monk has any items in their ranged besides Antonian Javelin then your wrong, or a DPS Monk. In which case you should switch to a Rogue.

Since you aren't aware, I'm going to teach you something new about EQ. There is content outside of raiding! For example: Soloing, duos, trios (aka menage a trois), etc etc. Also, even in raid situations, capable and skilled monks are able to swap between javs and ranged slot items with stats depending on the situation. If you do nothing but keep an Antonian Javelin in your ranged slot then you are wrong.

Imagine a world where swapping an item out takes almost no effort. Oh wait.

Monks are not a primary DPS class first and foremost?

^ Yea that and a 30k epic is a SOLID base for a rogue alt. Great stats for other classes but those only get you so far vs a mainhand stabbing stuff.

But back to the OP if stuck on those two I’d go monk.
